  It was good too that we stopped on the way up for a photo opportunity even though we managed to take numerous photos through the carriage window.

  One of the most amazing experience. Going up the mountain on the train and exploring the town. And then back down in the sky rail. Was just so surreal. A must do if you are in cairns. Would definitely recommend

  A unique experience but I wished the trains had larger windows to really enjoy the experience. The smaller windows combined with protection bars really restricts the views and beauty the route offers. The historical value of the trains could be preserved with minor upgrades to elevate the experience.

  Amazing views. Cool if you leave the windows open to get a breeze. Great if the train is not crowded.. even better when they ask if people want to move to another carriage to ensure everyone gets a good spot.

  We absolutely loved the train trip from Freshwater station to Kuranda, the views were beautiful and it was interesting to hear the history of the train.

  A must see when visiting Cairns. It was good to see the old heritage station and operating tearoom. The whole journeys on the train was terrific with good narrative. Devonshire tea was fantastic with freshly baked scones with cream.
