Great setting...live music Friday nights, cosy setting, warm fire, good food with vegetarian options.

Can't put less than one star although this camping does not even deserve that. By far the worst camping we have ever been to! We had the bad luck of being there when our camping neighbors decided to have a rave party starting after midnight with drugs and alcohol...I do not understand how this is acceptable! It is unfair that management do not do anything when campers yell all night and prevent others from sleeping. It felt very unsafe. Do not go there if you want to sleep as it is a party campground. We didn't sleep at all as people were playing music very loud, playing drums, drinking. At 4 am as we hadn't slept and the noise was still going we decided to leave the campground. Oh and don't get me started on the amenities which are just disgusting...We have had better nights and amenities at free rest areas.

Awesome place, great food (with vegetarian options), cool staff and the kangaroos there are just adorable. No phone reception, but that helps relaxing :)

Besides that I have to emphasise again that the site has great potential. It's beautiful, it's spacious and it was even mozzie free. Fix the toilets and the stupid per person prices and it's easily 4 stars - at least.

I now have a lovely alternative to send my guests to enjoy the beauty of the rain forest only 30 ins away instead of all the way to The Daintree.

We enjoyed a lovely cocktail and some beers in the Saloon bar which is very Outback Style and with a gorgeous meal from the restaurant, my partner and I had a relaxed couple of days here and cannot wait to return when the Blues Live music October Festival takes place.

I have travelled several 10.000 km in 5 states in Australia and I without any doubt I can say these were the most disgusting toilets I've ever er seen - and yes, this includes free places.

Offering this shack as a toilet to tourists is already a shame but when you look at the prices it becomes a scandal. $10 per person per night without power is quite cheap but add $4 more and you get much better sites even down at the coast. The price for powered sites though is a joke, $20 per person per night means a couple has to pay $40 or if you're travelling in a group of three it's even $60 - what an incredible joke! For that price you can get the best camp sites even down in the coastal area. Ridiculous!

The toilet/shower block is a heartlessly assembled shack that apparently has never been cleaned. Come here at night (unfortunately I took my pictures the next morning - not half as impressive) and you can clearly see what it has to offer: Australia's biggest camp toilet spider collection that has ever been seen. At the entrance, at the ceiling, at the doors, at the walls or just above the toilet itself, there are spiders and spider webs everywhere! I'd say say there are about 50 spiders of at least 5 different species. The biggest one hanging in a big net just above toilet - have fun sitting down there, I didn't, I preferred to wee in a bush.

Had such a warm welcoming and friendly atmosphere on arrival by a gentleman down to earth called Sharkey.

The place is quite pretty and has lots of potential but there is one absolute no go: The toilets (and showers)

He showed us the best of the grounds and found us a place on site most appropriate to our needs and desires.
